The Astro continues to make rapid progress as we go into the summer. On the lower parking garage levels, the garage lighting is installed and the utilities on the lower levels are moving along. Metal stud framing is also underway below the podium level and will be finishing up in the coming weeks.
Above the podium the 5th floor framing has already begun! The framing crews are being closely followed by mechanical, plumbing and electrical rough in. The Team is anticipating finishing up the roof framing toward the end of June. Window installation on the lower floors began the week of May 26th and will continue at a steady pace through the middle of July.
Starting on May 27, exterior scaffolding will be erected on the 1st Avenue and Harrison sides of the building so that Andgar can begin the installation of the building wrap. Once the wrap is completed, the exterior rain screen framing and materials will begin. The roof membrane system will be completed by the end of the summer. The roof deck and landscaping is planned to be wrapped up prior to the tower crane coming down at the end of September.
