Google Crew Achieves Major Milestone

Google Phase II is looking amazing thanks to our dedicated Google crew! The project reached the Substantial Completion milestone on Friday, July 31 and Google has accepted delivery of the building core and shell. The team is working on closing out related work on the project and is scheduled to be complete by late September. This sleek modern 180,000 square foot building is in the running to attain the highest level in green building for energy and environmental efficiency, LEED Platinum. The connecting bridge between Phase I and Phase II is taking shape with the metal panel cladding installation in progress. The tent structure on the Phase I side of the bridge is beginning construction while grading on the volleyball and basketball courts is in progress. The Cross Kirkland Corridor (CKC) will be open to the public August 17 followed by the children’s play area opening September 18.

SRM would like to thank all involved with Google Phase II including the management team, dedicated employees, subcontractors, and suppliers. Your work in executing this innovative and energy efficient project is quite an achievement for which we are all very proud.

Shout out to the team for getting this project to the finishing line!

Jackson Buck, Danielle Reyes, Alec Carlin, Dealy Etter, Dave Tomson, Aaron Bergman, and Andy Loos.
